BRP demands UN inquiry over Balochistan home secretary confessional statement

Quetta: Akbar Hussain Durrani, the home secretary of Balochistan, admits that security forces have ‘arrested’ 12234 people under national action plan across Balochistan so far.

Mr Durrani in an interview on Tuesday, confessed that armed forces have carried out 2622 ‘intelligence based’ operations in various part of Balochistan, in which forces have killed 323 ‘miscreants’ and arrested more than 12 thousands.

“The situation has improved in the province, and 85 insurgents, including a dozen of key commanders have laid down their arms and have joined mainstream,”  he claimed.

However, home secretary did not mention the whereabouts and the identifications of the held persons.

Pakistani forces killing political activists in fake encounters – BRP

Geneva: Baloch Republican Party spokesman Sher Mohammad Bugti said Pakistani forces increased its brutality to very high level.

He said that Pakistani forces with the support of China’s billions of dollar funds, is engaged in effort to eliminate Baloch from earth. Pakistan probably is unaware about Baloch history that Baloch will never be defeated through the use of power.

“Baloch nation will defend its territory and resources at any cost. It’s not possible to make Baloch slave by brutal killings” he added.

A five day event in Germany highlights the plight of Balochistan – BRP

Leipzig: President of Baloch Republican Party Germany Chapter, Jawad Mohammad Baloch, in his statement said that Amnesty international in collaboration with Baloch Republican Party has organized a five day awareness campaign at Leipzig university, exposing Pakistan’s war crimes in Balochistan.

Photos of Baloch victims of Pakistan’s kill and dump operations were displayed during the five days exhibition while activists of BRP and BRSO were interviewed by the amnesty representatives regarding human rights violations in Balochistan.

Moreover, a petition was signed by the students and local German citizens, urging German foreign ministry to take notice of the gross human rights abuses in Balochistan,

BRP demonstrated at the United Nations to mark anniversary of Dera Bugti massacre

Geneva: In a statement released to the media, BRP Switzerland chapter’s president Sher Baz Bugti, vice president Qadir Bugti, and General Secretary Mohammad Nawaz Bugti said that BRP held protest demonstration during annual session of UN outside its office, against worst human right abuses and to commemorate the 11th anniversary of victims of Dera Bugti massacre.

Baloch leader and President of Baloch Republican Party, Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti, including Party spokesman Sher Mohammad Bugti, Baloch leader Nawab Mehran Marri, World Sindhi Congress leader Laku Lohan, Ashraf Sherjan and Mubarak Baloch were present during the protest. Baloch activists from different European countries also participated in large number.

Remembering the victims of 17 March 2005 massacre in Dera Bugti, Balochistan

Dera Bugti: On 17th March 2005, Pakistan Army attacked Balochistan’s Dera Bugti town with gunship helicopters, mortars and rocket shells. Pakistan army came up with an inhuman plan to use all available air and ground power to eliminate prominent Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti.

The military forces started shelling the town of Dera Bugti, the headquarter of Bugti tribe and the ancestral home of the Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti. Rockets and mortars also targeted his house where he was attending a meeting with his tribesmen, but luckily he survived.

72 innocent civilians were killed, among them were innocent 33 Hindu worshipers, including children, men, women and more than 100 people were severely injured with the severe damage to the houses including Mosque and a Hindu temple. The minority Hindus had taken shelter inside the temple in Nawab Akbar Bugti’s compound when it was hit by rockets fired deliberately on Nawab Bugti’s house by Pakistani armed forces.

No end to military atrocities in Balochistan: 7 killed, 26 abducted in Dera Bugti operation

Dera Bugti: Sher Mohammad Bugti, central spokesperson of the Baloch Republican Party in a statement said that military operations and state atrocities still continued in Dera Bugti and other parts of Balochistan and being intensified with passage of each day.

Mr Bugti stated that for many days paramilitary troops were preparing for a grand scale operation which started on sunday morning when Pakistani forces sealed off Tehsil Phelawagh and Marrow areas and started shelling on civilian population which resulted in complete destruction of Lal Khan Bugti’s home. Lal Khan Bugti’s aged father, wife and daughter were killed and several other women and children were wounded in the attack.

Mr Bugti said that gunship helicopters and heavy contingents of ground troops took part in the operation and indiscriminately attacked many areas including Pashaini, Kaleri, Takro, Siyatank and many more.

Sher Mohammad Bugti said that there were reports of martyrdom of seven more innocent Baloch civilians but their identity could not be confirmed immediately as the affected areas were still under siege by Paramilitary troops. He said that civilian casualties were feared to rise the siege and attack on the areas continued.

Moreover, local sources informed BRP Media Cell that forces have abducted at least 26 people including women and children during raids in Dera Bugti’s Gandao region. 
The abducted people have been identified as Manzoor Bugti son of Laghri Bugti, Ganja Bugti son of  Lagri Bugti, three women and five children from their family; Wasu Bugti son of Tawakal Bugti with his four women and five children from his family; Umaid Ali Bugti son of Murad Bugti along with two women and three children were among the abductees. Sources said that forces had taken away all the abducted people towards an undisclosed location. Military operation in the areas continued until filling of this report.

BRP representative addresses UNHRC session on worst rights abuses in Balochistan

Geneva: The Baloch Republican Party representative at the United Nations Human Rights Council, Mr Abdul Nawaz Bugti has said that Pakistani state was committing worst human rights abuses in Balochistan for decades now.  

While addressing at the UNHRC 31st session in Geneva on Friday, Mr Bugti said that the worst human rights situations in Balochistan was being ignored by International Community.

Talking about Balochistan, where worst human rights abuses are taking place on a daily basis, he said that although Pakistan had signed and ratified a number of human rights conventions, including the Convention Against Torture, torture is still massively and systematically practised by Pakistani security forces in Balochistan.
