Berlin: Baloch Republican Party and Baloch National Movement organized a joint protest demonstration outside Swiss Embassy in Berlin, Germany here on Tuesday.
Both the parties in a joint statement said that the objective of the demonstration was to protest the rejection of Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti’s Asylum application and the ban on Nawab Mehran Marri’s entry in Swiss soil by the authorities.
“Instead of acting upon the baseless allegations of Pakistani authorities, the Switzerland government should send an official mission of their own to examine the ground situation in Balochistan and see what the life of a common Baloch has become,” said the parties adding that Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti and Mehran Marri struggle against the atrocities of Pakistan, and that the allegations by Pakistan carry no truth or honesty.
The statement further reads that Pakistan was trying to put cover on its atrocities in Balochistan by putting false allegations against the struggling Baloch leaders; And Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti is a well known Baloch political leader heading a political party with thousands of followers and political associates.
“Many central committee members and political activists of both the BRP and BNM have been abducted, detained, killed and dumped by Pakistani Intelligence agencies and armed forces: However, heads of terrorist organizations such as Osama Bin Laden, Akhtar Mansoor, Hafeez Saeed find a Pakistan a safe heaven and resting place to carry on and promote their extremist ideologies,” the statement reminded the Swiss authorities saying that relying on the allegations of such a state puts the long-held neutrality status of Switzerland and the western traditions into question.
The parties urged the Switzerland government to cautiously review the decision regarding Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti’s case, and help him get political asylum so he would raise his people’s voice and the issues facing the Baloch people, with impunity through his political works.
The statement also opposed the ban put by Swiss authorities on Nawab Mehran Marri’s entry into the soil, who highlights and sheds light on state atrocities and human rights violations in Balochistan in UN sessions, and urged the authorities to lift the ban immediately.
The protest was also joined by the Free Balochistan Movement activists.
Jawab Baloch in a video statement has said that Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti is a political leader and representing thousands of Baloch. He appeal to the Swiss government to reconsider Mr Bugti’s asylum plea and grant him political asylum on humanitarian grounds.
