Pakistani forces abduct IDP Bugti family from Hyderabad, Sindh – BRP

Geneva: The central spokesman of the Baloch Republican Party, Mr. Sher Mohammad Bugti in a statement condemned the abductions of Baloch women including the family of Baloch leader Dr. Allah Nazar Baloch by Pakistan army and intelligence agencies.
Mr. Bugti in a statement issued to media on Wednesday, said that targeting Baloch women by Pakistan army started in 2006 which was later adopted as a state policy to weaken the Baloch freedom activists and leaders when the state assassinated the sister and niece of Baloch national leader, Nawab Brahumdagh Bugti in 2011.
“Most recently, Pakistani forces abducted a dozen of innocent Baloch women and children from different areas of Balochistan including Naseerabad, Dera Bugti, Awaran and Kohistan Marri. A few of them were released but the majority remains in the custody to this date” he said.
Mr. Bugti further said that Pakistani forces abducted the family members of Dr. Allah Nazar including his wife and daughter from Quetta. Two days later, another Baloch women along with four of her children including a toddler, irfan Baloch, Gohram Baloch (7 yrs), Meerak Baloch (9 yrs), Beebagr Baloch (17), her cousin Samullah Baloch (18 yrs) and Shah Meer (16 yes) were abducted during a raid on their house in Basheer Chowk Qambrani area of Quetta.
Puppets officials of the State claimed that the victims were abducted near Afghan border whereas they were, in fact, abducted from Quetta while they were hospitalised there.
On the other hand, Personnel of Pakistani intelligence and Sindh rangers abducted the family members of a previously abducted Baloch, Sohnra Bugti, during a raid on Bugti IDPs in Kacha, an area close to Hyderabad, Sindh last night. Sohnra Bugti was a blind man who was abducted by Pakistani forces fours back from Kashmore area of Sindh who is still missing.
Mr. spokesman said that a large number of people fled to Sindh, Punjab and Afghanistan areas after the military operation in 2006, adding that “these refugees are targeted by Pakistani intelligence agencies and their elements on a monthly basis; Eliminating their men and abducting women”.
He said that “Abducting and harassing women and children will gain Pakistan army nothing but defeat as it had faced back in 1970s in its war against Bangladesh where women and children were mistreated, similarly. Bangladesh finally got its independence while Pakistan faced a humiliating defeat.
Defeat will be the only conclusion of Pakistan’s story in Balochistan as well no matter all the cheap policies and strategies it uses against the Baloch people.”
He further said that it seems Pakistan was trying to paint a different picture of its war against Baloch people by labelling the civilian Baloch women as rebels after violating their privacy and abducting them from their homes. This is the last sign of the end of Pakistan’s occupation on Balochistan.
