Balochistan: Central spokesmen of the Baloch Republican Party, Mr. Sher Mohammad Bugti said in a statement shutter down and wheel jam strike were observed across Balochistan on the call of the Baloch Republican Party on the occasion of ninth martyrdom anniversary Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti.
“Party activists held references, Quran Khwanies, Study circles, in Zonal, Central and international forums to pay tributes to Shaheed-e-Azam, Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti and pledge to deliver his struggle to it’s destination” he said.
He said that Baloch Republican Party held awareness campaigns at international forums including Germany, Switzerland, South Korea, UK and other European countries which were continue from last week.
“Activists shed light upon the life, struggle and ultimate sacrifices of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti through events, protests demonstrations and distributing pamphlets during their awareness campaign.” Mr. Bugti stated.
He said that wall-chalking, references and Quran Khwanies were also held in different areas of Sindh including Karachi and Nawabshah.
Simultaneously, activists held an online campaign on the social networking site “Twitter” where supporters of the Baloch struggle took part, paid their respect to Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti and expressed solidarity with the Baloch nation.
Mr. Bugti further said that Baloch freedom movement had receives attention and sympathy around the world because of the sacrifices that Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti made.
“Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti, at an old age stood for the defense of his motherland practically and took the Baloch national struggle to a stage where it becomes impossible to defeat it and after nine years it still continue move toward it’s goal,” he said.
He said Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti never compromised with his rules and believed in sacrificing himself rather than being kept a slave therefore his ideology had become a beacon of light for the oppressed nations around the World. ”
Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti used to say “it’s better to die quickly in the mountains fighting for the rights of his people than slowly in the bed” Mr. Bugti reminded adding that there was no doubt that Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti would do what he said he would do and he proved that by fighting alongside his people till his martyrdom.
Supporting the call for shutter down and wheel jam strike across Balochistan he said that he was thankful of all who took part and made the strike successful including businessmen and transport community and directed the activists that they should pledge on the occasion of the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti that they would continue his struggle and they would never hesitate from making sacrifices when needed. ”
Even on the occasion of martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti, there was no halt in state barbarism in Balochsitan. Forces launched operations in different areas of Dera Bugti including Asrieli, Darenjen, Sari Darbar and Rostum Darbar and killed at least killed at least ten people including women and children while injuring several others” he said.
Mr. Bugti said that civilian populated areas were bombarded whereas many members of the same family were killed including mother, wife and children of Amin Bugti.
“It has always been the reaction of state that wherever it sees four Baloch for instance together whether in a funeral or a wedding, they would attack them” he said.
He said no matter what kind of a brutality Pakistani state may commit, they were followers of Shaheed Nawab Akbar Bugti and their taught slaying down their head rather than bowing it down before oppressors and occupiers.
